Scott Solace 15 Disc Road Bike, superb all round bike with reliable stopping in the form of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. I’ve had the bike for 2-3 years and enjoyed using it on all sorts of rides from short sprints to long all day rides. The Solace has a slightly more laid back geometry than Scott’s most racey bikes and a very compliant frame affords all day comfort yet it is light enough and stiff enough to compete in the sprints on your club ride! This was 2600 new, a quality midrange bike.Full spec of the bike is as follows:
Frame – Solace HMF / IMP Carbon technology / Road Comfort geometry / INT BB*Fork – Solace HMF DISC 1 1/8″ Carbon steerer Alloy Dropout*Headset – Ritchey PRO Int. Also on the bike are a pair of Elite Custom Race bottle cages that match the colourscheme of the bike very well. I will include the Crud Catcher Road Racer MK3 mudguards as shown, velcro fitted so they are easily fitted or taken off and blend in with the lines of the bike when fitted. The Look Keo pedals shown will not be included.I recently had the freehub serviced and the gears tuned up so it all runs smoothly.PLEASE NOTE: The bike has been crashed and although I have been using it since, it does appear to have two hairline cracks in the frame, close to the head tube/down tube junction. The fork also requires replacing before the bike could be ridden. The join in the steerer tube has been weakened and now has play in the joint. You can purchase a brand new fork from any Scott dealer for approx 250 and fitting is very straightforward, although I would recommend having the frame checked professionally. Alternatively, the parts alone are easily worth the starting price and could be built into another frame!Cash on collection only please!
