The Zipp 808 Tubular Front Wheel. When Zipp introduced the 81mm deep 808 they saw it mainly as a time trial and triathlon wheelset. It did pretty well in those disciplines netting an Ironman World Championship and the fastest Tour de France time trial in history with David Zabriskie. The Zipp 202 Tubular Front Wheel has proven itself for more than just going uphill. That said, the 202’s domain lies in the high mountains. But even a 1081g-per-pair climbing wheelset still has to get you to the base of the ascent and back down from the top. So Zipp designed the 202 in this context.
