Hi this is a great childs bike and works really well.
Its true what they say about Islas They are really well designed to create the best posture for the childs ballance and pedalling.
My son went from a ballance bike to this and picked it up fast! Pedalling 4 miles along the canal on the second day1
This bike has been looked after, kept inside, oiled and greased.
But we have not been precious about it and it is covered in scuffs and scratches.
As a well loved Kids bike should be!
It rides very well, The frame is straight and everything functions well.
NB. The brakes were carefully designed with little, feeble, unpracticed hands in mind and they really work! with ease! -Unlike a lot of so called kids bikes which you find have brakes small kids cant pull on hard enough to stop themselves!
Actually, The ends of the brake levers [the bulbous10mm bobble on the end of the cast aluminium lever] have snapped off, a bit of a design fault, probably the only week point on the whole bike, but not a serious problem. This hasnt reduced the length of the levers significantly and has certainly not stopped him from using the brakes EASILY and effectively.
The tyres are road tyres and though not brand new have a usable amount of tread still on them.
The seat has marks and very slight scuffing but is all there and fully functioning.
All in all a perfectly functioning bike that DOESNT look brand new!
So if you want all the lightweight technical brilliance, and child friendly ridability of an Isla cnoc14 But you dont want to constantly be stressing about paintwork every time your child goes to lean it up against a step or a railing etc
For a ‘cnoc’ down , bargain price! … This could be the bike for you!
If you want a bike that looks brand new it probably isnt.
