2015 model.  The bike was purchased in Taiwan in late 2015. Less than 120 miles was ridden on the bike before it was taken back to the Merida shop in Taipei and professionally dismantled and re-packaged for long-term storage. The bike is in superb condition and is essentially new.  The Scultura SED is similar to the Scultura 400. The frame and carbon fork are the same as the Scultura 400 but the chainset and Fulcrum Racing Comp wheels are superior to what is sold as part of the standard Scultura 400. Below is the text of an email from MERIDA UK who looked at the specifications of the bike and various photos and wrote a short synopsis of how the bike should be retailed in the UK. Also pasted below is the text from the MERIDA website in Taiwan listing the specifications of the bike (translated into English).  The bike comes in a hard MERIDA travelling case with 4 wheels.  Also included are the following: 1.    BRYTON RIDER 100 GPS computer. The sensor and handlebar attachment were installed in the MERIDA shop. 2.    LED forward and rear lights.   Though you could possibly argue there isnt a direct Sram to Shimano gearing comparison, its generally accepted that the Shimano 105 group-set would the nearest equivalent. The most relevant and similar Scultura model that runs this gearing from 2015 is the Scultura 400 2015 please see below link: https://www.merida-bikes.com/en_gb/bikes/road-bikes/aluminium/2015/scultura-400-3458.html The bike shares the same frame and carbon fork, so the heart of the bike is essentially identical. As mentioned, the bike runs Shimano 105 so is comparable to the Sram Rival. The only issues are that your Taiwanese specification bike has a superior chainset and also a different wheelset; it runs Fulcrum Racing Comp wheels which arent seen on the UK Scultura models though they did feature on the following Merida Ride bike from the same year: https://www.merida-bikes.com/en_gb/bikes/road-bikes/aluminium/2015/ride-400-3856.html So effectively, we could argue that your Merida Scultura SED is a mixture of the two bikes shown. Both of the bikes retailed in the UK at 999.99. You could possibly argue your superior chainset could elevate the price to 999.99-1100.00 overall.years2015Vehicle nameScultura SEDRecommended price38800Speed22SFrameABR600A Hydraulic Forming Aluminum Alloysize700*44/47/50/52/54/56colourAnd White/Merida Green/Blue Wave BlueForkEGM-FK-03E carbon fiberbrakeSRAM RIVALChainKMC X11ChainringSRAM RIVAL 50/34TflywheelSRAM PG 1130 11-32TSpeed control leverSRAM RIVAL 2*11S
