Welcome to the auction for my Tandem bicycle.
I have owned this bike for about 5 years and had purchased it with the intention of restoring it however I need to have a clear out of several items in my garage (See my other items)
This tandem is badged at the head tube as ‘Otley’ but I cannot be sure that this has anything to do with the bike.
It is a very solid steel frame painted in black.
The bike is fully rideable although the brakes are not up to modern efficiency!
The bike has two genuine Brooks saddles in black leather and Britannia bar grips.
It also has a genuine Sturmey Archer geared hub with top tube mounted lever, hand pump and mud guards.
There is a headlight up front and rear light with dynamo but these are not functioning.
Obviously this bike is very old, I would guess at around the 1930’s, it is very well made and heavy!
The overall appearance is genuine vintage and although it could be restored it looks lovely as it is.
This bike could also be used as an advertising bike outside a shop by adding sign panels.
The auction is no reserve and is cash on collection, please bear in mind that the bike is 2.4 metres long (nearly 8 feet) so I can help load it into a van or onto a roof rack. You will not get it in a 3 door Corsa!
