I bought this bicycle recently with the hope of becoming slightly more mobile because I can no longer drive. However, I now realise that I’ve over-estimated my ability to ride a bike again, with arthritis in both hips and one knee, making it very painful.
There are many of these bikes for sale on eBay but they don’t always have the wicker basket, which would cost you another 40 at Halfords.
There is a slight dent in the rear mudguard(as you can see in the photo). Otherwise, the paint-work and chrome are in very good condition.
This bike has a speed Sturmey Archer gears, and I’m guessing this makes adjustment far easier than the Derailleur type gears.
The tyres are also in very good condition, they look as though the bike has hardly been used, with tread showing hardly any signs of wear.
The brakes are perfect, no signs of rust at all, the bell is in new condition, and the leather hand grips are in very good condition.
The colour is a dark, metallic type green.
I’ll throw in a set of USB rechargable lights.
To my knowledge the only thing that is missing is the kick-stand, this was how it came to me but stands are available between 5 to 6 on eBay.
This bike is currently retailing at Halfords at 380 + 40 for a basket, and on eBay up to 200 or more, with just a few sorry looking examples under 100.

As for postage, you are very welcome to view/collect from me in Slough (SL2 area), or arrange your own courier, or via Hermes Light and Large Service.
The cost is 25.19, which is flat rate with no extra’s.
To post the item via Hermes I would have to partially dismantle the bike, eg: take front wheel off, handle bars, basket, front mudguard to fit in the box Halfords provided. Re-assembly only took me about 30 minutes. The trick is to make sure you fit the front mudguard before putting the wheel on:)
