This is a classic 3 speed (Elswick) Hopper gents bike. The year is 1959 / 1960. Verified from W stamp on the frame and from the date code on Sturmey archer hub.
This bike is totally original and in excellent condition. The Chrome on the wheels is the only major issue and would need replating if restoring.
The bike was my dads and was cleaned and oiled regularly so is indeed a rare example.
I think even the tyres are original.
