Vintage 1980s Raleigh Winner five speed racer with 24 inch/60cm steel frame, 27 inch chrome steel rims and downtube friction shifter. Sharp brakes, easy gear changes. Smooth ride experience. Surprisingly light for a steel bike with good range of gears – big low gear cog for the hills and small cog for the flats. Bike fits me at 5ft 8ins with seat down so will certainly suit anyone taller. Has all the parts you’d expect from a Raleigh of this period – Sachs Huret derailleur, Custom chainwheel, Weinmann side pull brakes, steel rat trap pedals. Drop bars have original foam grips. Brake blocks and rims are branded Raleigh. Pullman Selle Royal saddle on steel post fully adjustable. Paintwork is very good, decals good, a little speckled on seat tube. Chrome pitted on bars and rims. Has lost its front mudguard – arguably the bike looks better without mudguards so you could remove the rear one for summer riding.
Can be picked up in Nottingham or posted in a bike box for 30.00. Currently posting Thursdays so should be with you the following day.
